Our Mission

The mission of Marketing Greece is to foster and promote the Greek Tourism Product in international markets and to support the Ministry of Tourism and Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) in showcasing Greece as one of the ten most important and attractive destinations worldwide. Essentially, Marketing Greece is a unique partnership between private sector entities aiming to contribute to the support and promotion of Greek tourism. In doing so, it commits itself to the utilization of the most modern tools of Digital Marketing and the PR expertise of its executives. Adhering to this commitment, Marketing Greece is first to introduce the term “product development” into the Greek tourism industry’s vernacular.

Our Primary Objectives

Within the wider context of the National Strategy for Tourism, Marketing Greece wishes to enhance the overall visitor experience in Greece, enrich their encounter with our country and thus establish Greece as a preferred destination in target markets. In doing so, Marketing Greece is supporting the Hellenic Republic, local authorities, tourism associations and non-tourism companies that aim to actively promote the Greek Tourism Product by providing innovative design services and the marketing execution and implementation of coordinated and targeted actions. In order for the above to come to fruition, Marketing Greece has set the following distinct objectives:

  • Promote the Brand “Greece”
  • Attract high-income visitors
  • Facilitate the access of Greek destinations and products to international tourism distribution/sales channels
  • Reinforce and showcase the specific attributes and characteristics of the Greek Tourism Product
  • Support and promote new forms of tourism, based on international trends
  • Overcome the issue of high touristic seasonality in Greece
